South East Asia faces distinctive challenges when it comes to preventing terrorism and violent extremism. Panopticon Consulting was asked to participate in the South East Asia Working Group meeting of the Global Counter Terrorist Forum held in Indonesia and attended by the prison administrations in the region. Panopticon Consulting presented two papers at the Working Group: Custody and Management of Terrorist Detainees; and Assessment and De-radicalisation of Terrorist Detainees in Prison. Since then we have been asked to provide advice to a number of countries on counter-extremism prison-based activity.
